Funny how out of place I feel just because I'm a visitor of these woods and not a [[resident->dead]]. Without looking back, I turn to run so abruptly that I feel some of my vertebrae crack. With the cold air burning my lips and making my eyes water, I bolt away. I don't even know where I'm going, just that I can't stay [[there->there 2]]. With what feels like miles of trees later but realistically was probably a few hundread feet, I finally feel the weight of legs. They must be cinderblocks because when my legs start to buckle a little I barely notice that one of my ankles has wedged itself into a rocky crevice causing it to turn to a nauseatingly unnatural angle.
